Part 1
Problem: The outside power connection was bad.
Solution: Very very easy. Just redo the welding of the connections, as soon as you can reach the spot.
Why worthy to mention here?
Significance: The spot was located in the last possible position you could reach.
(1) This is the laptop, used of course.
(2) Open it
(3) Look at the back
(4) Remove the battery, PC card, memory and CD-Rom drive
(5) Remove the Center Control Cover
(6) Remove Keyboard and LCD Assembly
(7) Remove Palm Rest
(8) Remove Base Cover
(9) Motherboard
(10) Remove Speaker Assembly
(11) Remove Heat Sinks of CPU and Chipset, Remove Center Control Board, remove Hosing of CD-Rom Drive
(12) Now you can see the welding spots and know what to do
(14) Then prepare to enjoy the feeling of success, as well as the cold beer.
(15) Wait a minute. It is getting worse. The whole laptop failed to boot.
OH, No!
(16) The critical part was found to be RV1.

Part 2 Continue from the previous unsuccessful work
(1) No other choices but purchasing parts for repair. A motherboardwas purchased, and another one was purchased again just for safe.
(2) Broke three and made two. One was shown above, the same (almost). The other one is shown below, with a 512 M memory or 256X2 M memory (not working).
(3) Now named it as October.
(4) And honestly sell the extra motherboard, and the extra memory.
我也用过Dell Latitude D600，那是2004年，当时1GB RAM的配置让我对这台电脑非常喜欢。但主板很快就坏了，Dell上门服务给换了。后来屏幕转轴也坏了，Dell上面服务工程师说这个连着主板，换这个转轴也得换主板，就又换了一次主板。后来就一直使用到2007年。过了几年，把这台旧电脑找出来，又用了一段时间，发现充电时，主板上充电接口的部分发热严重，到了不可接受的程度，应该是有电路元件损坏了。后来就不敢再用了，怕出危险。
总体来说，这块电脑设计还是不错的。很喜欢它的1400×1050高分辨率屏幕。
